Healthcare organization dedicated to providing accessible and efficient medical services, approached our design team with the vision of developing a complete portal for appointment booking. The goal was to create a user-friendly platform that allows both patients and doctors to schedule and manage appointments seamlessly, improving the efficiency of the booking process and enhancing the overall patient experience.
Project Scope: The project involved designing and developing a comprehensive portal for appointment booking that caters to the needs of both patients and doctors. Key features and functionalities of the portal include:
- User Registration and Profile Creation: Users can register and create profiles with their personal information, medical history, and contact details.
- Doctor Profile and Availability: Doctors can create profiles with their specialties, qualifications, and availability, allowing patients to view and book appointments based on their preferences.
- Appointment Booking: Patients can search for doctors based on specialty, location, and availability, and book appointments online at their convenience.
- Appointment Management: Patients and doctors can view, reschedule, or cancel appointments, and receive notifications and reminders for upcoming appointments.
- Integration with Electronic Health Records (EHR): Seamless integration with EHR systems allows doctors to access patient records and medical history during appointments, improving the quality of care and treatment.
User Research: We conducted user research to understand the needs, preferences, and pain points of patients and doctors when it comes to appointment booking. Surveys, interviews, and usability testing helped us gather insights into user expectations, desired features, and usability requirements.
